I absolutely adore the people who work at Hot Yoga East! It is a retreat within the streets of East Nashville. A fantastic variety of classes, special events and workshops. Nothing but calm community vibes from checking in at the desk to a final savasana. Best of the best for yoga! Has been a sanctuary for me for a few years now. Can’t say enough good things truly.

I recently had complete knee replacement surgery. I've been looking for a type of workout that I can do without a lot of strain on my knee. I've discovered that yoga is a complete body workout and my knee doesn't swell afterwards. This place is very professional and friendly, I'm a yoga fan for life.

Hot Yoga of East Nashville

Yoga may seem like the new kid on the block in the United States, but it's a practice that stretches back through the millennia. If there's an exercise regimen that works both the body and mind better, we haven't found it yet.

Yoga is unique because it entails physical and spiritual elements. Regular yoga practice helps you feel calmer and more balanced. Don't fool yourself, though; the instructor will put you through your paces.

At Hot Yoga of East Nashville, we offer the following classes:


Our yoga studio uses the Bikram-Method, a regimen that works through 26 postures. We crank the heat up to between 100 and 105 degrees with a humidity level of 40%. It’s a lot more interesting than sitting in a sauna and far more beneficial.

The heat helps your body achieve deeper stretches and promotes detoxification. It also makes the workout more challenging. With Hot-26, you’ll improve your wellness, boost immunity, detoxify the body, and ward off pain, injury, and arthritis.

As a bonus, you’ll burn between 500 and 1,100 calories in one class.

The discipline you need to complete the class stands you in excellent stead when you need to make healthy food choices, for example.

Power Yoga

Power Flow Yoga focuses on cardiovascular fitness. The room is heated to between 85 and 90 degrees. You don’t burn quite as many calories as with Hot-26, but you achieve a complete cardio workout that strengthens your body and improves your stamina.

Buti Yoga

Sign up for one of our Buti Yoga classes if you want to shake things up. It is an active class that borrows poses from Hatha and Vinyasa yoga practices and ramps up the effectiveness by adding more movement. Think of it as Yoga's answer to High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).

Instead of tedious hours on the treadmill, though, you get to enjoy tribal dancing. The techniques used in this class add an additional toning element, too. Prepare for a rock-hard core going forward.
